Story of the film

The woman named Anupama Kaul has a sister who resides in New York. One day, she receives a call from her sister, and as they converse, her sister is tragically killed in the September 11 attacks. Anupama is inconsolable. After a few years, Anu and Arpit Oberoi get happily engaged. However, Arpit travels for America for work, and Anu finds herself being courted by a man by the name of Aman. Anupama meets Aman by chance and learns that he is a secret agent assigned to a unique mission to eliminate terrorists. Over time, Anupama finds herself drawn to Aman’s devoted and compassionate nature.

Anu informs Arpit that she is in love with Aman and that she is unable to marry Arpit when he returns from America. Arpit then begins to inquire, “Who is Aman?” In what location does he reside? Arpit asks, “Does he even exist?”

In actuality, Aman is a myth. He is merely a creation of Anupama’s mind. Her family and friends make an effort to convince her that Aman is a myth. Anupama won’t pay attention.

Anupama is examined by a psychiatrist, who informs her that her sister’s death, which she learned about over the phone, has harmed her mental state. Anupama’s close friend informs her parents that she spotted a boy who looked like Aman. Then all of a sudden Aman appears, visible to all. Aman admits that he had plastic surgery and that he is actually Arpit on the day of Anupama and Aman’s wedding. Arpit only acquired the drawings from Anupama’s journal, which is why his face is exactly like Aman’s.

After Anupama hears this confession, Arpit tells her that there is nothing else he can do to get her married so that their families can continue their cordial relationship. Anupama’s closest friend requests evidence from her. Without even batting an eye, Anupama displays photos of her and Aman at the movies when Arpit was still in the United States. When her buddy shows her the photos, she notices that Aman wasn’t present. Six months later, during a psychiatrists’ meeting, medical professionals announce that Anupama is the first patient to be cured of schizophrenia.

She explains to the crowd that Arpit, who has returned to his former appearance, is the reason behind everything. As they leave the conference room, Anupama notices Aman. Once inside, Anupama gives the driver the go-ahead to start driving. When the automobile is seen running, Aman is eventually left behind. When Anupama turns to give Aman one final glance, she sees him disintegrate into dust. The credits start to roll as she rests her head on Arpit’s shoulders.

Madhoshi Movie Review

This film review are Mostly Positive from Critics, IMDB Public Reviewing site give 4.6 Star Out Of 10 Star with Reviewers are 373.

This film is evidently based on the concept of “Beautiful mind” based on the life of a mathematical genius John Nash (played by Russel Crowe). I have not seen the English movie for my weakness in English. The heart of the story is the ‘disease’ Schrizophernia. It is said that there is no known cure of the disease. Given this non-existence of a successful method of treating a patient with such a problem, one tries their own method/attempt. Hence we should not laugh at any such method as it is very case specific.

I must say that the treatment of the subject is first rate. Now I am motivated to see ‘beautiful mind’. I recommend Madhoshi to all those who want to see ‘beautiful mind’ but cannot follow the language. This Indian version is good enough by itself that deserves a watch!

Critics Rating by Taran Adarsh , from Bollywood Hungama give 1.5 star out of 5 Star.
