EXTENSOR CARPI RADIALIS BREVIS

extensor carpi radialis brevis is a muscle in the forearm that acts to extend
and abduct the wrist. It is shorter and thicker than extensor carpi radialis
longus which can be found above the proximal end of the extensor carpi radialis brevis.

 

ORIGIN : antetior surface of lateral epicondyle of humerus
or common extnsor origin

 

INSERTION : posterior base of the third metacarpal

EXTENSOR CARPI RADIALIS BREVIS

EXTENSOR CARPI RADIALIS BREVIS

NERVE SUPPLY : deep branch of radial nerve

 

ACTION/EXERCISE : extension and abduction of the wrist

 

CLINICAL IMPORTANCE :

Lateral Epicondylitis
Tennis Elbow
Carpal Tunnel
C6 C7 or C8 radiculopathy

this all condition extensor carpi radialis brevis is diagnose.
