it is a smallest muscle of the attechment of 3 muscle attech to the coracoid process of the scapula

 

ORIGIN :  coraciod process

INSERTION : medial side of the humerus

 

NERVE SUPPLY :  Musculocutaneous nerve

 

ACTION ; flexion and adduction of arm

 

CLINIAL IMPORTANCE : The overuse of the coracobrachialis can lead to stiffening of the muscle.
Common causes of injury include chest workouts or activities that require to press the arm very tight towards the body,
e.g. work on the rings in gymnastics
