The Film Shooting Start in February 2018 and ended in July 2018. It was shot in Chandigarh and some areas of Punjab.
Marketing and release:
Promotional episodes featuring the trio of Sanon, Dosanjh and Sharma were released. Solo posters of the film starring Kriti Sanon as Ritu Randhawa,Diljit Dosanjh as Arjun Patiala and Varun Sharma as Onida Singh were released on 18 June 2019. The official trailer of the film was released on 20 June by T-Series.
The film was supposed to open on 13 September 2018 but was first postponed to 3 May 2019, then to 19 July and finally to 26 July.
Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films has stated that the film won’t be released in Pakistan due to the Pulwama Attack that happened in Kasmir, India.
The film has been certified with a runtime of 106 minutes by
British Board of Film Classification and was released on 26 July 2019.
