Review of the film :

This film reviews are mostly mix from critics.

Critics reviews :

  • Mohar Basu from Times of India gave 2.5 star out of 5 star and stated that “Pan Nalin gives India an unusual female buddy film that attempts to make a statement on the growing atrocities against women. Angry Indian Goddesses is a decent watch if you keep you expectations in check. It is a perfect example of how anger does very little good afterall. In the first half, it is breezy, its vocabulary remains conversational and is genuinely palpable. the story is never supported by a solid screenplay. The film’s pace is a problem and though things gear up in the second half, it ends as a loopy mess. When the predictable climax hits with all its cliches, you feel disinterested.”
  • Sweta Kaushal from Hindustan times on her reviews stated that “Angry Indian Goddesses is a decent watch as long as the fun lasts but tumbles downhill with gathering pace as the ‘anger’ kicks in. Watch it for its good acting, the director’s bravery in picking his premise and protagonists, but don’t expect a statement on feminism or a revolutionary Bollywood film’. You will be sorely disappointed.”
  • Shubhra Gupta from Indian express also gave 2.5 star from 5 star and writes that “These are flesh-and-blood women, the film is delightful till they stay that way, The women turn into the ‘angry Indians’ of the title, and the film plummets.”
  • Justin lowe from Hollywood reposrted on his reviews stated that “Nalin assembles an appealing ensemble that relies more on the breadth of the cast than the depth of each individual actor’s experience, establishing a comfortable sense of onscreen camaraderie. A traditional Portuguese-style home and beautiful island locations attractively frame the filmmaker’s informal stylistic approach, highlighting the naturalistic setting and performances.”
